The Micro MineWolf (MW50), launched in February 2013, is the smallest unmanned platform in MineWolf Systems’ counter-IED and mine clearance portfolio. The MW50 is a compact, remote-controlled, armoured platform, purpose-built for clearing explosive items such as IEDs, land mines and other devices remotely in hard-to-access, rugged terrain. The system underwent trials in Germany in May 2013 before deployment to Bosnia and Herzegovina the following month, which continued into July and informed improvements to the
platform’s design.
