The PIAP Scout, also designated the Small Robot for Reconnaissance, is a compact backpack-portable unmanned ground vehicle designed for reconnaissance and light EOD tasks in confined environments. Various mission tools can be mounted on the platform including a manipulator arm with gripper, optical cameras, chemical sensors, wire cutters, and an X-ray device. The Scout's small dimensions and low weight allow a single operator to carry and deploy it without assistance, providing infantry and EOD teams with an
immediately available robotic reconnaissance tool for building clearance, tunnel inspection, and suspicious item assessment.
