The Multi-Utility Tactical Transport (MUTT) UGV is designed to be a multirole, rugged, small-unit force multiplier. Able to operate in remote-controlled, tethered or tele-operated modes, it provides increased projection of combat power and greater stand-off from threats. Following tests with the USMC between 2014 and 2016, the system was entered into the US Army’s Squad (now renamed Small) Multipurpose Equipment Transport (S-MET) requirement, for which it was selected in October 2019. Although the first production
contract was rescinded after protests from one of the losing competitors, General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) was once again awarded a production contract for the S-MET programme in July 2020.
