The XM1216 Small Unmanned Ground Vehicle is a tactical robotic system based on the PackBot UGV, designed to enter and secure areas that are inaccessible or too dangerous for soldiers or industrial personnel. Originally planned as part of the cancelled Future Combat Systems programme, the XM1216 has since entered service with the US Army and Marine Corps.
