Launched in September 2020, the Xtender is a rotary-wing micro UAV designed for close-quarters battle ISR tasks. Instead of a conventional GCS, an operator uses a single-handed controller and an AR headset to directly see what the UAV’s camera payload is capturing in real-time. The XTEND manufactured UAV is reportedly in service with the Israeli military forces and was the subject of a US Department of Defence procurement contract in early
2021.
