<h2>MISSION</h2><p>The 76mm L62 HE–PD round is designed andmanufactured by Simmel Difesa to be ﬁred byall OTO Melara gun systems and equivalent.  It is ﬁlled with HE (High Explosive) and ﬁtted with a PD (point detonating) fuze.The High-Explosive charge is initiated by thefuze functioning at the impact against thetarget. This cartridge is used against low ﬂyingaircrafts and ground targets.</p><h2>DESCRIPTION</h2><p>The projectile consists of a steel shell ﬁlled  with High Explosive and a point detonating fuze.  The fuze has two independent mechanical safeties. The projectile is assembled on a brass cartridge case which is ﬁlled with a multi-perforated single base propellant  and ﬁtted with a percussion primer.</p><p>PACKAGING</p>
