<p>PACKAGING</p><h2>DESCRIPTION</h2><p>The HE-PD mortar bomb consists of a steelbody ﬁlled with high explosive and a nosepoint detonating fuze.The body is loaded with TNT explosive. The tailassembly is ﬁtted with the ignition cartridgeand the ”horseshoe“ type propellant increments. The charge system consists of one primary cartridge ﬁtted in the tail and up to seven horseshoe increments ﬁtted around the tail.The maximum number of propellant increments depends on the mortar model.</p><h2>MISSION</h2><p>This mortar bomb is a high explosive indirect  ﬁre ammunition, effective against light structures, non-armored assets and infantry troops, due to its natural fragmentation and blast. </p>
