The Falco Xplorer is a light, medium-altitude long-endurance UAS developed by Leonardo for persistent ISR missions. It was unveiled at the Paris Air Show in 2019, completed its maiden flight on 15 January 2020 and is undergoing certification for flight in non-segregated airspace targeting civil and military customers. The platform can fly for more than 24h with the complete sensor suite at a distance of 200km from the ground station, with the possibility of extending up to 1,000km in BLoS thanks to the radio relay or
the satellite communication system. The ground control station provides real-time command and control via a secure satellite data link, enabling operations beyond the usual line and processing and data exploitation capabilities.
