Armament All RFAS and other 82 mm mortars. Development Originally developed ca 1935 and apparently based upon the contemporary Brandt designs. Detail improvements made thereafter. Description A cast-iron, teardrop-shaped bomb with four gas check grooves around the bourrelet and a welded steel tailfin assembly. A primary cartridge fits into the tailboom and four secondary increments in cloth-covered split rings fit around the boom. The nose is threaded for the fuze, no adaptor being used. There are three versions
of the O-832 series, the basic O-832 , the O-832D and O-832DU . Differences between variants are minor, with different fuzing, fin shape and projectile fill chief among them. Manufacturer State arsenals.
