Singapore's Invincible-class submarines, designated Type 218SG and built by ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems in Germany, are replacing the Republic of Singapore Navy's ageing Challenger- and Archer-class boats. The programme covers four vessels in total, with the first boat scheduled for delivery in 2022.
