The Félix Éboué class of patrouilleurs outre-mers (POM), or overseas patrol ships, are being built for the French Navy. Six ships are to be built by Socarenam following a contract award in December 2019. The vessels will be based in France’s overseas territories and will primarily be used to ensure sovereignty and protection missions in the French EEZs, intervention against maritime pollution and SAR. All six ships are expected to be delivered between 2022 and
2025.
