MV Doria is the first OPV ordered by Kenya’s State Department of Fisheries. The contract for the construction of MV Doria was signed in January 2014 between Kenya and JGH Marine. Construction was subcontracted by JGH Marine to its partner Western Marine Shipyard. The keel of the OPV was laid down on 12 August 2014. The vessel features a helipad which is capable of taking a five-tonne
helicopter.
