The Harry DeWolf class of Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ships (AOPS) designed for the Royal Canadian Navy are to be used in missions including coastal surveillance, SAR, drug interdiction, support to international partners, humani-tarian aid and disaster relief. They will also be operated by the Canadian Coast Guard. The AOPS project is to deliver six of the ice-capable ships with construction first beginning in 2015, followed by a further two vessels for the Canadian Coast
Guard.
