The Samarth-class Advanced Offshore Patrol Vessels (AOPV) are an improved variation of the Sankalp-class AOPVs in service with the Indian Coast Guard and Indian Navy. The class has been delivered in two batches, the first six commissioned between 2015 and 2017 and a contract for a further batch of five awarded in 2016. The vessels are designed for patrolling and policing maritime zones and SAR
