Project 22350M is under development as a heavy class of frigates that borders the weight range of destroyers. Also designated the Gorshkov class, Project 22350M will have a displacement of between 7,000t and 8,000t as opposed to the Project 22350 frigates’ 5,400t. It will also have far more firepower, reportedly deploying 120 vertical launch cells. Also dubbed the ‘Super Gorshkov’ class, Severnoye Design Bureau started the conceptual design of the improved Admiral Gorshkov in December 2018. Design work on the new
