The FPB 110 MKII fast patrol boat is intended for maritime patrolling, protection, law enforcement, counter-piracy and SAR missions in an EEZ. The vessel design is based on the FPB 110 MKI platform developed in the early 2000s, with the first of the MKII vessels entering service with the Nigerian Navy in 2018. Nigeria will operate a total of four FPBs primarily used for counter-piracy
missions.
