The Sejong the Great-class (KDX-III) Batch 2 is an improved variant of the Sejong the Great-class (KDX-III) Batch 1 vessels in service with the Republic of Korea Navy. Three Batch 2 vessels will be constructed by Hyundai Heavy Industries following plans approved in April 2019; however, only two have been contracted so far. The Batch 2 variants will be more heavily armed and larger than their predecessors and are expected to be delivered between 2024 and
2028.
