The Chaparral is a VTOL capable cargo-carrying UAS manufactured by Elroy Air. In January 2022, Elroy unveiled the pre-production Charparrel C1’s design, which can be utilised to conduct on-demand resupply to expeditionary teams, establish initial logistics footprints in contested areas, ISR, communica-tions relay, forward-placement of fuel, generators, medevac and other non-military tasks. The UAV has received Phase 3 Small Business Innovation Research funding from the USAF’s Agility Prime programme in 2020 and
through a Tactical Funding Increase Award in Q4 2021.
