The Kamorta-class ASW corvettes have been built by the Garden Reach facility in Kolkata for the Indian Navy. A total of four were ordered in 2003. Three vessels entered service between 2014 and 2016; however, the fourth and last vessel has faced considerable delays and is due to be commissioned in 2020. It is believed that up to 12 vessels were planned, although there has not been a follow-on order. The vessels are primarily to be used to operate in India’s offshore territorial
waters.
