The M72 Light Assault Weapon Fire from Enclosure (M72 LAW FFE) was developed by Nammo to meet a USMC requirement for a version of the disposable M72 LAW that could be safely fired from within enclosed spaces, such as buildings. Compared to previous versions of the LAW, the FFE variant features a new propulsion system that eliminates most of the backblast and muzzle flash, as well as an inline trigger and improved sights. Two configurations of the M72 LAW FFE will be procured for the USMC: M72A8 anti-armour and M72A10
multipurpose.
