The UKM-2000, based on the PK design, was developed by ZMT to provide Polish forces with a GPMG firing 7.62mm NATO ammunition. The UKM-2000 is fitted with a quick-change barrel and is offered in four versions: the infantry UKM-2000P with fixed buttstock; the paratrooper UKM-2000D with folding buttstock; the coaxial UKM-2000C fed from the right-hand side; and the coaxial UKM-2000CL fed from the left-hand side.
