Arsenal’s MG-1-series belt-fed machine guns are derived from the Russian PK and PKM designs and are fitted with a synthetic buttstock and pistol grip. Variants are available in 7.62mm NATO and 7.62mm Russian calibres. According to Arsenal, the barrel life of the MG-1 is 30% greater than that of the PK series. The MG-1M variants are optimised for use in tropical and arid climates and have a redesigned barrel to improve
cooling.
