The 6.5mm Cased Telescoped (CT) Carbine is a closed-bolt, forward-feed, gas piston-operated weapon being developed as part of the US Army’s Lightweight Small Arms Technology (LSAT) effort to field new weapons and ammunition which are both lighter and more effective than weapons now in service. It was first shown at the September 2017 Association of the US Army exhibition following successful firing trials earlier in the
year.
