The ZPX‑A is an ITAR-free, AIMS-certified micro transponder specifically engineered to equip defense UAVs with the ability to operate safely and legally within civil airspace. Adapted from the TSO-certified ping200X, it supports Modes 3/A, C, S, and ES ADS-B OUT, enabling airspace interoperability while maintaining an ultra-low SWaP profile. Weighing just 50 grams and drawing only 1.5 watts, it allows integration into UAVs as small as Group 1 and Group 2
with minimal impact on mission endurance or payload capacity. Built for reliable end-to-end operation, the ZPX‑A can be paired with the truFYX‑EXT SBAS GPS to deliver SIL 3 positional integrity, ensuring visibility to ATC and certified airborne systems. It supports full autopilot integration via industry-standard serial protocols or can operate in a standalone payload configuration using the uAvionix mini-controller. With compliant altitude encoding up to 35,000 ft (TSO-C88b), flexible installation options, and environmental qualification to DO-160G, the ZPX‑A is a fully interoperable transponder solution for UAV missions requiring trusted autonomy in shared airspace.
