The Flight Stand 500 is a high-capacity propulsion test platform designed for characterizing the large brushless motors and propellers used in heavy-lift cargo drones, eVTOL aircraft, and advanced air mobility vehicles. Its frictionless measurement architecture samples at up to 1 kHz, capturing thrust, torque, RPM, voltage, current, power, and motor and propeller efficiency with laboratory-grade accuracy across the full operating range of large propulsion systems. The package includes a force measurement unit, an
electric measurement unit, a robust tubular structure, a sync hub, an optical RPM probe, and temperature probes. The bundled Flight Stand software supports manual and automated test plans with real-time data visualization, and allows flight controller throttle data to be imported and replayed during testing, enabling realistic simulation of actual mission propulsion profiles.
