WASP is a tube-launched UAV for tactical missions that require rapid deployment, reusable operation, and flexible payload integration. ISS Aerospace describes it as a man-portable semi-autonomous system for time critical tasking, able to launch from a tube in less than three seconds either manually or remotely from a vehicle, vessel or infrastructure. After launch, the platform transitions to conventional multi-rotor flight and can remain stored ready for use for periods of many years. WASP carries a
high-performance EO/IR camera gimbal with integrated rangefinder and a modular payload system up to 1.5kg, supports resilient communications with real-time shared video feeds and handover of control from one operator to another, and is suited to tactical ISR, critical supply delivery, counter-UAS, force protection, detector and effector missions, and loitering munitions roles.
