The RICI 6000 is 4-port surveillance data distribution & conversion unit. The Real-Time Interface & Conversion Item (RICI) provides serial-to-LAN and LAN-to-LAN surveillance and sensor data formatting, filtering, and conversion in a 1U rack-mountable or tabletop form factor. It can connect up to four input devices such as radars via serial, and offers two Gigabit Ethernet outputs for IP-based network connectivity. The system is used widely by the U. Department of Defense as well as by the FAA. Common conversions
include message format transformations between surveillance data in ECGP, SGF, CD-2, ASR, ASTERIX, ADS-B, MAR, TPS75, Mode 4, ARTS, AIRCAT-500, and Mode S, in addition to sync, async serial, and LAN formats.
