The RMK 30 is a recoilless, single-barrel, 30mm revolver cannon developed by Mauser, a subsidiary of the Rheinmetall group. The development of the gun began in 1993 in response to Germany’s Federal Office of Defense Technology and Procurement (BWB) requirements for a new recoilless autocannon. It is electrically powered with a firing rate of 300 rounds per minute. Additionally, a turret has been designed to mount the weapon on German UHT Tiger and other
helicopters.
