The BrahMos is a ramjet, supersonic cruise missile developed by BrahMos Aerospace, a JV between Russia’s NPO Mashinostroeyenia and India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation. Based on the Yakhont supersonic cruise missile, the export version of Russia’s P-800 (3M55) Oniks missile, the BrahMos can be launched from land-based mobile launchers, submarines, ships and aircraft.
