Bell Helicopter Textron is developing the V-280 Valor tiltrotor for the JMR-TD FVL project. The US Army announced in August 2014 that Bell would be one of two competitors to proceed to the JMR-TD phase. Intended to replace the UH-60 and AH-64, the V-280 will be able to undertake long-endurance transport and attack missions. The design builds on the company’s experience designing and producing the Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey
tiltrotor.
