FFG unveiled its Wisent 2 conversion of the Leopard 2 MBT in 2010. Surplus tanks are converted into a multifunction platform which can then be configured as either an armoured engineer vehicle or armoured recovery vehicle. The two variants are 95% logistically identical. The vehicle includes an intelligent hydraulic and electronics system. Conversion between the two configurations can be done in less than 24h at forward
locations.
