Patria launched the 8x8 Armoured Modular Vehicle AMV in 2004 and has since received contracts for more than 1,400 vehicles. It is manufactured under licence in Poland as the Rosomak (Wolverine) for the Polish Armed Forces and the UAE, both of which have deployed the vehicle in Afghanistan and Yemen respectively. An improved version of the AMV with greater payload, protection and performance was unveiled at DSEI 2013 as the
AMVxp.
