The 8x8 Boxer is produced by ARTEC, a JV between KMW, Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles and Rheinmetall Military Vehicles Nederland, to meet the requirements of several militaries for a well-protected APC. Boxer’s modular construction allows a range of mission-specific variants, while a protection system against mines, IEDs and ballistic threats contributes to crew survivability. Since entering service with the German and Dutch armies, the Boxer has been exported to several other militaries and the UK, one of the
original partners in the multinational programme, has opted to procure the Boxer to meet its Mechanised Infantry Vehicle requirement.
