The Ural-63095 Taifun-U (Typhoon-U) is a 6x6 multipurpose mine-resistant vehicle developed by Ural to meet a requirement from the Russian Armed Forces for a new family of MRAPs. Although it functions as a basic APC in its standard configuration, its modular construction allows for the troop compartment to be exchanged for other specialised mission modules should the vehicle need to be adapted to carry out different roles. Part of a family of 4x4 and 6x6 MRAPs developed by Ural, the Ural-63095 was adopted in limited
numbers by the Russian Armed Forces as the Taifun-U. Ultimately, it lost out to a competing design offered by Kamaz.
