The Pandur II is a development of the 6x6 Pandur that was introduced in the mid-1980s. The first prototype of the Pandur II, which is available in 6x6 and 8x8 models, was completed in 2001. The hull is of all-welded steel with armour upgrades available. It can be equipped with turrets mounting weapons up to 105mm in calibre. An amphibious version is also available. Additionally, the vehicle is designed to be carried by C-130
aircraft.
