The Nyoka is a 4x4 APC based upon upgraded ex-South African RG31 Mamba hulls and drivelines. Conceived by the South African firm Twiga, the production of the Nyoka for export customers is intended to facilitate technology transfer as well as the initiation of local production lines by encouraging most of the manufacturing and assembly process to take place domestically. Two basic variants of the Nyoka are marketed: an APC and a weapons platform, which replaces the troop compartment with an open rear area for
mounting various armaments, including artillery systems.
