The Belrex Protected Combat Support Vehicle, introduced into Singapore Army service in November 2016, was developed by the Defence Science and Technology Agency and ST Kinetics on the basis of Paramount Group's Marauder platform. It is designed to provide MRAP-equivalent protection for combat support roles including logistics, engineer, and signals tasks in contested environments. The Belrex fills a capability gap between unprotected logistics vehicles and front-line armoured platforms, giving the Singapore Army a
vehicle that can sustain operations close to the forward edge of the battle area without exposing support personnel to unacceptable risk.
