Plasan introduced the Stormrider 4x4 armoured vehicle in 2019. Like the preceding Sandcat series of 4x4 armoured vehicles, it can be used for troop transport, patrol missions, reconnaissance and other specialised roles. Larger than the Sandcat, the Stormrider has seats for ten people and can be armed with a roof-mounted weapon station. On this design, Plasan has dispensed with the COTS Ford ladder-frame chassis in favour of a purpose-built monocoque design to offer a greater payload and higher levels of ballistic
and blast protection for its occupants. As of April 2020, the platform has entered production for two undisclosed customers.
