The Springbuck family of APCs was originally developed by Drakensberg Truck Manufacturers specifically to meet the requirements of African customers. Designed for ease of operation, maintenance and repair, it uses internationally available driveline components. Since September 2012, the range has been marketed by DCD Protected Mobility, which offers the vehicle in Springbuck Standard (SD), Heavy Duty (HD) and Xtra Duty (XD) variants, all of which can be carried by C-130 transport
aircraft.
