Bogdan developed the 10-tonne Bars-8 4x4 multipurpose armoured vehicle as a follow-on to the lighter 7-tonne Bars-6, unveiling it at the Kyiv Arms and Security Expo in September 2015. The Bars-8 was designed to meet a Ukrainian military requirement for a cost-effective, reliable armoured vehicle and is also offered to export customers. The larger Bars-8 provides increased payload and protection compared to the Bars-6 while retaining the cost-conscious design philosophy that makes the platform accessible to
procurement agencies operating under constrained defence budgets.
