The Al Shibl (‘Lion Cub’) series of light 4x4 armoured vehicles is produced by the Saudi Arabian Armoured Vehicles and Heavy Equipment Factory. Based on the ubiquitous Toyota Land Cruiser chassis, the Al Shibl family is primarily aimed at Middle Eastern customers, where the popularity of the Land Cruiser is such that there already exists an extensive support and maintenance network. Produced in short and long wheelbase variants (Al Shibl 1 and Al Shibl 2 respectively), this vehicle can be armed with various
weapons and configured to suit different customer requirements.
