The ZTL-11 (also sometimes referred to as the ZTL-09) is a wheeled armoured assault vehicle based upon the hull of the ZBD-09 8x8 IFV. Developed by Norinco for the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), it is armed with a 105mm gun in a turret that closely resembles the design of that mounted on the ZTD-05 tracked amphibious assault vehicle. An unknown number of these vehicles has been produced for the PLA, and Norinco has also developed a similar 105mm-armed vehicle for export known as the ST1. This is based
upon the hull of the VN1 8x8, but features a different turret compared to the ZTL-11.
