The M1127 Stryker Reconnaissance Vehicle (RV) is one of the ten original variants of the US Army’s 8x8 Stryker vehicle family introduced into service in 2002. Each Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT) has 51 M1127s which equip the RSTA (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) Squadron and the Stryker battalion reconnaissance platoons. As the army fields Double Vehicle Hull (DVH) Strykers, the M1256 Infantry Carrier Vehicle DVH-Scout (ICVV-S) configuration is being introduced in the reconnaissance
role.
