The Kobra (formerly 710 Kobra and 710 Warrior) can carry 68kg, travel over rough terrain and climb stairs while performing missions such as EOD, route clearance, perimeter patrol and surveillance/reconnaissance in support of security forces. It is also used to conduct routine operations in industrial settings, and it can operate in adverse weather conditions. The system has a digital architecture. After being shortlisted for the US Army’s Common Robotic System – Heavy (CRS-H) programme in 2018, FLIR Systems was
awarded the production contract in December 2019, which could see as many as 350 systems delivered to the US Army.
