The Gladiator Tactical Unmanned Ground Vehicle (TUGV) was funded through a USMC programme to develop an armed, armoured UGV. The programme began in the mid-1990s, with further funding in 2002-03. Five prototypes were delivered in 2008. It carries a range of sensors and weapons, a light-vehicle obscurant smoke system and an anti-personnel obstacle breaching

system.
