The Ripsaw Military Specification 2 (MS2) incorporates the same features and specifications as MS1 (see separate entry) but includes manual controls for manned operations. The Ripsaw demonstrator was built in 2000 and took part in the first DARPA Challenge in 2005. In 2007, the US Army’s Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center awarded a contract for the Ripsaw Military Specification 1 (MS1) for use as a UGV

demonstrator.
