Mosquito, or the Lightweight Affordable Novel Combat Aircraft, is a developmental ‘Loyal Wingman’ UAS produced by Team Mosquito as part of the RAF’s Mosquito Project. The team is an industry collaboration of Northrop Grumman UK, Intrepid Minds and Spirit AeroSystems Belfast that leads the team. The platform is planned to conduct a test-flight programme by the end of 2023 and could be deployed alongside the RAF’s crewed fighter jets by the end of the

decade.
