MQ-4C Triton

Region
United States
Category
Unmanned platforms
The MQ-4C Triton is a maritime version of the Global Hawk high-altitude long-endurance UAS. Developed to fulfil the USN’s Broad Area Maritime Surveillance requirement, the Triton can perform persistent ISR data collection and has possessed the capability to disseminate that data to the fleet. In July 2021, an upgraded platform variant, the MQ-4C Integrated Functional Capability Four (IFC-4), conducted its maiden flight. The USN sees the MQ-4C IFC-4 as a key component to its future family of systems to achieve
maritime domain awareness, and as such, it plans to procure 65 units. Australia has also procured the platform.
