MISSION The VTPA FB76 fuze is a proximity fuze to beused with 76mm L62 HE and PFF ammunition. It was designed by Simmel Difesa to defeat aircrafts, missiles and small boats. DESCRIPTION The VTPA FB76 fuze is fully compliant withthe requirements of STANAG 4187 and wasdesigned, developed and tested in accordancewith the criteria of MIL-STD-331. The fuze is aself-powered radio transmitting and receivingunit, operating on the base of the Dopplereffect. Two operating modes are selectableelectrically at the time of

firing: P Proximity + Point detonating + Self-destruction. The fuze is set to initiate detonation when proximity with the target is detected. Point detonating function is provided as backup, in event of direct hit. Self-destruction is activated if neither of the above conditions occurs. P Point detonating. This mode can be selected for hard targets engagement such as small patrol boats, ships and land targets. In this mode proximity and self-destruction are inhibited, and only impact can activate detonation. The fuze profile is compliant with STANAG 2916 pag B-11. PACKAGING
