MISSION The HE F1 multipurpose high-explosiveround is used for surface warfare and shorebombardment. This round can be used with theautomatic guns of the Model 53 mounts andderivatives as well as with that of the 100mmCOMPACT Mk 2 mounts. DESCRIPTION The 100 mm HE F1 cartridge is delivered andstored, without fuze (the fuze is a separatesupply) in an individual aluminium water proofcontainer and consists of : P a high explosive shell filled with TNT, P a Mod 1953 100mm steel case, P a Mod 1961 (60g) tube ignition
